A man saw a duck getting stuck under the ice of a frozen lake in Norway, and was helplessly clinging on to life. The duck had been swimming in a non-frozen spot, dived down for food, and came up in a different spot under the ice.
The man noticed it was still alive, and time was of the essence.
Risking his own life, he dove into the icy waters and brought the duck to safety.
It still needed some loving care. Here he is drying it off.
And smiling for the camera after a successful rescue mission. This duck lives to fight another day.
