Robert Bahou photographs personal portraits of dogs, cats and horses revealing their endearing looks. Against a black background, the Amsterdam-based photographer catches these animals posing like humans. Their individual expressions convey a lot about their personality.
Anyone who has ever tried to photograph an animal knows that it’s not an easy task, especially when trying to get them to do the three things needed for a photo: mouth closed, sitting still, looking at at the lens. In the future, Bahou has plans to develop his project with other kinds of animals such as lions, wolves, apes, walruses and, his ultimate dream, pandas.
