For decades, a car cemetery laid hidden in a small forest near Châtillon, a little village in Southern Belgium. The existence of these beautiful rusty cars remained unknown to the local community until Google Earth revealed it.
Legend has it that these retro cars were abandoned by US soldiers after World War II. This was found to be not the case as some of the car models were clearly from the 1950s and 60s, including a 1953 Buick and a Ford Anglia from the 60s. The actual fact is that someone had left these cars in the forest for unknown reason, and was eventually summoned by the government to clear them out in recent years.
Today these eerie photographs are all that remain of the mysterious Chatillon Car Graveyard.
