We often gush over photos of babies with their puppies or cats. But it’s not often that we see similar photos with birds.
Meet Penguin the Magpie, the orphaned bird who shares a unique bond with her human family.
Photographer Cameron Bloom’s family chanced upon Penguin in 2013 when she was just a baby.
The family learned to raise the bird after consulting with a veterinarian.
They affectionately named her Penguin.
Penguin grew very close to her adopted family.
Despite being free to come and go, she always flies back to the Bloom household where Cameron, his wife Sam, and their sons Rueben, Noah, and Oli eagerly await her return.
On rare occasions, Penguin even shows off her humans to other magpies who have followed her inside the house.
The photographs they share on Instagram are beautiful and heartwarming.
