Have you ever wondered what your house cat or dog looked like in its mother’s womb? These incredible embryonic images of animals in the womb (or the egg, in the penguin’s case) offer a totally new way of seeing your favorite animal.
The highly detailed embryonic images are created for the National Geographic documentary Extraordinary Animals in the Womb. The show’s producer, Peter Chinn, used a combination of four-dimensional scanning technology, computer graphics and tiny cameras to capture the process from conception to birth.
