To celebrate the opening of its 30th store in France, IKEA collaborated with French communication agency Ubi Bene to create an unusual show apartment in the city of Clermont-Ferrand.
The mock-apartment, fully furnished with furniture and accessories from the Swedish brand and fitted with steps and grips, also serves as a rock climbing wall. The 30-foot-high plane is patterned with vibrantly colored prints, carpets, towels and textiles. Bookshelves, cabinets and tables serve as mounts on which to scale, while chairs and sofas allow participants to pause for a quick rest, flip through an IKEA magazine, as they climb their way to the top.
Check out the colorful vertical apartment. Would you care to climb it too?
