8. Albinism
Albinism is the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes due to absence or defect of tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme involved in the production of melanin. It is considered to be a hereditary condition. In African countries such as Tanzania, many people with albinism have been brutally killed in recent years, with their body parts harvested to make potions sold by witchdoctors.
